Reflecting on a vanishing way of life, the Outport Museum & Tea Room is located in La Scie, Newfoundland, on the Baie Verte Peninsula. This two-story house, built in the early 1940s, offers a glimpse into rural outport life. Filled with antiques from that period, you can get a sense of what life was like.
The Tea Rooms offers a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere in which visitors can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee along with a choice of traditional homemade Newfoundland foods and desserts.
Come take a guided tour, share a few yarns, hear stories of how it used to be and savor the rich history of the small fishing village of La Scie.
